This eLearning module is divided into 4 key lessons, each comprising a video presentation conveying the core material. Supplementary videos, where non-core material is presented, and relevant printable and downloadable material are also included within most lessons.

- Lesson 1: The Context of Alcohol Misuse in Ireland
This lesson details some current epidemiological data on alcohol misuse, and also highlights two particular cohorts of drinkers - young people and the elderly, whom health professionals need to include when addressing the issue of alcohol with patients. - Lesson 2: Asking the Right Question
This lesson addresses issues around Screening & Brief Intervention, use of the AUDIT and AUDIT C tools and the Double-A Approach. - Lesson 3: Promoting Low Risk Drinking Habits
This lesson provides detail and practical advice on Irish Guidelines for Low-Risk Drinking and on use of the ICGP Standard Measure Glass in consultations. - Lesson 4: The Impact of Alcohol on Health
This lesson summarises the broad range of negative impacts of alcohol on health.
