Welcome to this module on Diagnosis & Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease(IBD) in Primary Care. This eLearning module provides current and practical information for GPs.
This eLearning module is divided into 2 key lessons and case studies. Each lesson may comprise of a video presentation conveying the core material; supplementary videos, where non-core material is presented; and relevant printable and downloadable material. Most presentations are under 10 minutes long to facilitate opportunistic learning.

        There are 2 lessons as follows:

        Lesson 1: Suspecting, Investigating & Diagnosing IBD

        This lesson reviews the symptoms suggestive of IBD, and the investigations which can be carried out in primary care to help establish a diagnosis.

        Lesson 2: The Role of GPs in Management of IBD

        This lesson outlines the role of GPs in management of IBD, and also reviews current therapeutic options.

        Clinical Cases: Simulated Primary Care Consultations

        Two Clinical cases are provided. The first Ulcerative Colitis Review Visit and the second Crohn's Disease Flare-Up Visit.
